USB C ZX Spectrum power adapter

This is a USB power adapter that will allow you to run your classic ZX Spectrum from a USB C PD power supply or charger.
There are 2 versions. One for the Spectrums with 9v power supply and one for the spectrum +2 and +3 Black models with 6 pin power plug.
These power adapters use your existing phone charger, MacBook power supply, Raspberry Pi 5 power supply or similar Power Delivery compatible unit to provide a much more efficient and smoother power supply than your original power brick which will result in your spectrum running cooler and using less power.

For 9v Spectrums this device provides a very smooth 9v supply and for the plus 2 and plus 3 machines with 6 pin Din plug this device provides 5v, 12v and negative 12v supplies.

Important! Your power supply and cable must be “power delivery” compatible and must have enough wattage to run your model of Spectrum.
For classic 48k Spectrum your USB C power supply must have a 9v output and must be a minimum of 9w.
For 128k Toastrack and +2 Grey you should have a 9v output with a minimum of 18w.
For +2 and +3 Spectrums you will need a 12v output with a minimum of 36w.
Most power supplies and chargers have the output voltages and wattage on a label.
If you are unsure then don’t use it.
